You could say the book was butchered but these things happen when you aim for a blockbuster movie. Now to the book! I absolutely loved it. The descriptions of the scenery is what made this trilogy stand out in the first place. I absolutely give it 5/5 stars even though at some parts, due to the descriptions it gets kind of hectic for some. I am looking forward to reading The Two Towers and The return of the King!
