είναι ένα από τα βιβλία της κατηγορίας 8/10. Γρήγορο ανάγνωσμα, απίστευτα χιουμοριστικοί διάλογοι που σε κάνουν να ερωτεύεσαι τους χαρακτήρες και γενικά υπήρξε πολλή έρευνα από τη συγγραφέα για διαφορα θέματα. Δυστυχώς το τελευταίο μέρος του βιβλίου για μένα ήταν λίγο anti-climactic και γι’αυτο δεν παίρνει 10 αστέρια. Παρόλα αυτά το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα.

"The worst part of being college rivals with Gus Everett? Probably the fact that i wasn't sure he knew we were" Finished beach read last night and i couldn't stop thinking about these characters somehow i got so attached to them and their story i didn't want to fisnish this book. Favorite thing about this book aside from the characters must be the writing i will for sure check more of the author's work. If you love witty banter like i do then this is the perfect book for you but don't be fooled this is NOT just a romance novel this book seriously made me cry like a baby at some parts. "Write a romance despite having reccently lost close to allfaith in love and humanity" What can i say about January Andrews i just want to hug her and promise her that everything is gonna be alright. Janie is such a strong character she often had to put a brave face on and pretend that everything was okay even tho she was drowning. She lost her dad recently and learned that he wasn't exactly the men she knew. She was broke, mentally exhausted and had under 3 months to write a book. So here comes the beach house her dad left her. She went there hoping for a closure, for some insiration to hit. Her first night there and everything was already about to change. And that's how we meet Augustus "Gus" Everett her old college rival slash new neighbor (even tho she didn't knew yet about the second part). They meet at the local bookshop and suprise suprise she realizes that she's about to spent the next 3 months next door to him. One thing comes to another and they strike a deal. January is gonna write a book without a happy ending and Gus is gonna try to write a book with one. "Pretending we weren't sixteen years old and a little bit obsessed with each other" The romance in this book you guys ugh my heart was melting they went back and forth from teasing each other to admiting their feelings and i was here rooting from them i wanted them to end up together so bad they made each other so happy. Their banter WAS EVERYTHING i can't coun't the amount of times this book made me laugh out loud this was everything i needed during this quarantine. I was just sitting there watching them going on their ''research'' dates falling more and more with each other and i absolutely loved every minute of it. "Everybody's got shit, January. Sometimes, thinking about someone else's is almost a relief." Well if you thought that this was gonna be a light rom com then you were wrong. Starting from January grieving and ending to Gus' past this book had me sobbing. These characters are more than just two authors on a writers block trying to find their soulmate, these two people are trying to find the meaning of their new life of who are they trying to be. January feels that she has be faking the way she feels her whole life she always tried to be there for her mom be strong put everyone else first and somehow she forgot herself her own happiness. Gus ugh where do i begin his back story was heartbreaking it felt like he was a grown up his whole life he never got a break. Both him and January went through things a kid shouldn't be going and that's why i'm so glad they found each other they found their person and they didn't care about the happy ending as long as they had good days on their way. " If i were hit by a meteor while in the car with you, yes, i would still think i went out on a high note" There's this one quote in this book that i didn't want to spoil to you guys that made my heart so warm, it's about how you know you are in love with a person and not just romantically!!! So yeah i pretty much loved this and i hope we get a second book or Shadi's book (I WANT A BEST FRIEND LIKE SHADI SHE WAS SO PURE AND SUPPOSRTIVE AND EVERYONE DESERVES A SHADI IN HER LIFE). Fisrt book i read from Emily Henry and she didn't disappoint at all, be sure to check this book and add it in your tbr list if you haven't already!!!
